Curriculum Objective

This subject provides insight into biblical, historical and contemporary models of church planting, as well as the social and spiritual dynamics of church planting.

Outcomes

Students should be able to:

1.      Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the historical, biblical and theological foundations for church planting.

2.      Display an advanced understanding of the concept of needs-based, community-focused church planting

3.      Critique past, present and potential future developments in church planting, focusing on key characters and events

4.      Compile and assess data that would indicate the need for new and revitalised churches

5.      Recognise and justify the value of church planting to the wider society.
