Parachute & Scholarship Winner 2010
Alphacrucis has a fantastic response to it’s stand at Parachute 2010.
Celebrating its 20th year, Parachute 2010 was the hottest spot on the summer calendar. From 29th Jan-1st Feb, Hamilton’s Mystery Creek’s Events Centre resounded with hits of home and abroad as 6 stages and almost 200 bands played over the long weekend.
The Alphacrucis stand was located in the Global marquee and was manned by a fantastic team of volunteers (many of who were or had been students). The stand was providing potential students with information about the college, giving out free water from water coolers and was running to major prize draws.
The first was a scholarship for an entire semester’s worth of free study worth $2200 and the second was for an 8GB Ipod Touch. Alphacrucis is pleased to announce that the 2 major prize draw winners were:
• Emily Wilson of New Plymouth - one semester’s worth of free study.
• Holly Rice – 8GB Ipod Touch
