Alphacrucis at Parachute 2009
Celebrating its 19th year, Parachute 09 was the hottest spot on the summer calendar. From 23-26 January, Hamilton’s Mystery Creek’s Events Centre resounded with hits of home and abroad as 150 artists grace 6 stages over the long weekend.
The SCCNZ/Alphacrucis stand was located in the education marquee and was manned by a fantastic team of youth (many of who were staff/students or had been students).
The stand was providing potential students with information about the college, giving out free water from water coolers and was running to major prize draws – 1 for an Ipod Touch and 1 for an entire semester’s worth of free study.
We are pleased to announce that the 2 major prize draw winners were:
- Susana Chand of Taranaki – Ipod Touch
- Geoff Lawson of Porirua - one semester’s worth of free study.
Southern Cross College will be there bigger and better for 2010 Parachutes 20th celebration (and of course more giveaways……)
